Les Begudes – Wine & Spirits Writing

In the spirit of exploring my interests in public, I started a wine & spirits website about a year after I moved to Barcelona.

I named it Les Begudes, which means “the drinks” in Catalan, which I was also learning at the time. It’s an effort to share what I learn about wine and spirits from Spain, with a tilt towards Catalonia, of course, but also Mexico, since I’m from there.

Some of the motivation also came from noticing how little well-researched information is available about the wines and spirits from these places in English. The Spanish sources can sometimes be sparse as well, so every article is a combination of my online research, as well as real-life experiences drinking these things and asking questions to the people who make them.
